Arnold Herbert Lechner, Sr., age 67, of Cabot, passed away Monday, March 24, 2008. He was born January 8, 1941 in Leola, South Dakota to Fred & Helena Lechner.

He is preceded in death by his parents Fred & Helena Lechner, two sisters and two brothers.

He is survived by his wife Mary Nadine Lusty Lechner of Cabot; son Arnold H. Lechner, Jr. (Sherri) of Hazel Green, Alabama; daughter Marie Acklin (James) of Cabot; one sister Shirley Evans (Jim) of Souix Falls, South Dakota; five grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; one step great-grandchild; along with many nieces, nephews, friends and loved ones.

A time of visitation will be held 2:00 to 9:00 pm on Tuesday, March 25, 2008 with the family receiving friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. Funeral Services will be 10:00 am on Wednesday, March 26, 2008 at Mt. Springs Baptist Church with Bro. Clayton Bulice officiating. Interment will immediately follow at Mt. Springs Cemetery.
