Arthur Kirby Johnson of Cabot was called home to the Lord May 25, 2011. He was born June 8, 1921 in Little Rock to the late John Arthur Johnson and Pearl Knighton Johnson
Kirby was a self employed business man, retired from his furniture and Carpet Business in North Little Rock. As a life-long member of the American Legion in retirement he devoted his life to America's Veterans. He proudly served as the Veteran's Service Officer for Lonoke County for 10 year and as a past president of the AARP he actively lobbied Washington D.C. on behalf of retired Veterans.
Kirby is survived by his son Steven Kirby Johnson currently living in Lilian Cebu, Philippines and his daughter Tina Johnson Klinkenberg of Saint Augustine Florida. He was blessed with three grandchildren, Ryan, Angela and Dereck, three great grandchildren, his Church Family, United Methodist Church of Cabot, friends and loved ones.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, May 31, 2011 at Cabot United Methodist Church 11:00am with visitation at 10:00am. Interment Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
