Bertha Mae Buffington, 79, of Cabot, passed away Thursday, July 9, 2020 in North Little Rock. She was born October 8, 1940 in Cave City, Arkansas to the late Audie and Maxie Shirley. Bertha and her husband worked in the logging business and she worked for K-Mart for 33 years. Bertha loved yard sales and planting flowers. Her greatest joy was her family and grandchildren. She will be missed greatly. In addition to her parents, she was preceded of death by three brothers and five sisters.

She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Jim Buffington of Cabot; seven children, Janice Burnside of Dardanelle, Gail Pettypoll of Dardanelle, Charles Clark of Fordyce, Dennis (Judy) Clark of Hazen, Scotty (Suzy) Buffington of Cabot, Anthony (Virginia) Buffington of Van Buren, Missouri and Ginger Luse of Van Buren, Missouri; three siblings, Dorotha Bone of Griffithville, William (Marie) Shirley of Heber Springs and Joyce (Benny) Taylor of Des Arc; ten grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
