Bertha Elizabeth Dean, 81 of Cabot, passed away October 29, 2016. She was born August 3, 1935 in Little Rock to the late William & Elizabeth Harris Dean. Mrs. Dean was a retired CNA and cared for others for 47 years. She is also preceded in death by two children Annalee Shirley and David "Maddog" Shirley.

Bertha is survived by 6 loving children Audie Shirley, Brenda Treadwell, both of Austin,AR, Bernice Curtis of 29 Palms, CA, Charles Shirley of Sapulpa, OK, Robert Shirley of Grady, AR and Martha Brooke of Cabot, AR; 15 greandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren; sister Margie Dickerson of Guthrie, OK and brothers Bobby Smart and Tommy Dean both of Sapulpa, OK.

Visitation 6:00 – 8:00 pm Wednesday, November 2, 2016 at the funeral home. Service at Cornerstone Church, 13 Brewer Street in Ward at 10:00 am, Thursday, November 3, 2016 with interment immediately following at Johnson Chapel Cemetery in Des Arc.  Arrangements by Thomas Funeral Service, 501-941-7888.
