Obituary

Billy H. McDougald, age 83, of Cabot, passed away on Tuesday, February 10, 2009. He was born October 19, 1925 in Crossett to the late Walter & Anna Lou McDougald.

He is also preceded in death by a brother Tom McDougald and a sister Ella Pennington.

After serving in Germany as a Telegraph Operator during WWII for the U.S. Air Force, he began working for the railroad. After working over 41 years Billy retired from Union Pacific Railroad.

He leaves behind his wife of 61 years Clarice Nadine Roberts McDougald; two daughters Linda Kay Standley (Thomas) of Cabot, and Debra Gay Baker (Craig) of Eatonton, Georgia; three sisters: Elvie Clark, Gladys Creed and Lela Cunningham; one brother Walter McDougald; five grandchildren: Billy Standley, Michael Standley, Melanie Ellis, Matthew Seamans & Mallory Baker; three great-grandchildren: Corinne & Braiden Ellis and Shilo Seamans.

A time of visitation is scheduled for 2:00 to 9:00 pm on Wednesday, February 11, 2009 with the family receiving friends from 5:00 to 7:00 pm. Funeral Service will be 10:00 am on Thursday, February 12, 2009 at First Baptist Church in Cabot with internment immediately following at Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
