Bryan James Shoemaker, Sr. of Cabot, passed away Tuesday, June 29, 2010. He was born May 31, 1932 in Lexington, New York to the late George & Florabell Shoemaker.
He is also preceded in death by brother George Shoemaker.
After serving "twenty years and three days" for our country in the U.S. Air Force, he retired as a TSgt and then began to work at Remington Arms in Lonoke where he retired after 19 years.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Dorothy May Shoemaker of the home, son Bryan James Shoemaker, Jr.(Julia) of Cabot, daughter Christine Ruth McCullough(Allan) of Cabot, nephew David Neal Jr. of the home, brother Edgar Shoemaker(Ann) of West Kill, New York, seven grandchildren Bryan James III, Emily Mae, Erin Marie, Bonnie Lynn, Benjamin Andrew, Allan Ronald Jr. & Kathleen Annamaymarie and four great-grandchildren Lillian Marie, Isabella Sky, Brayden James & Delylia Leann.
Visitation will be 6:00pm-8:00pm Thursday, July 1, 2010 at Old Austin United Methodist Church. Funeral services will be 10:00am Friday, July 2, 2010 at Old Austin United Methodist Church with interment immediately following at Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
