Darleen Jennie Leftridge, age 88, passed away Thursday, July 9, 2020 in Cabot. She was born September 15, 1931 in St. Johnsbury, Vermont to Orin Ellis and Hazel Irene Wing Smith. She loved to knit and had been knitting since the age of 8. She enjoyed corresponding with over 100 pen pals in her lifetime. She was preceded in death by her parents; the father of her children, Robert Melvin Barta; her husband, William "Bill" Leftridge and three of her children, Michael, Christine and Wayne.

Darleen is survived by her son, Robert Barta; 12 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren and her second husband, Thomas Patrick Kerns.

Memorial services will be 10:00 a.m., Monday, July 13, 2020 at Mount Carmel Baptist Church in Cabot. Memorials may be made to the Cabot Animal Shelter, 2951 South 1 ^st Street, Cabot, AR 72086.
