David Elmore, age 65, of Jacksonville, passed away at home with family and friends by his side, on Wednesday, September 30, 2009. He was born May 14, 1944 in Baltimore, Maryland to the late Paul E. & Shirley Elmore.

He is survived by his wife Melanie Stevens Elmore of Jacksonville; two daughters Melissa Lynn Bourne & husband James R. Bourne of Independence, Virginia and Lynzee Abel & husband Brock Abel of Midvale, Ohio; two grandchildren Brandon David Arnold & Ashley Lynn Bourne of Independence, Virginia; his beloved animal friends Blackie, Molly and Lump; along with many other family members and dear friends.

A time of visitation will be held 7:00 to 9:00 pm on Friday, October 2, 2009 at Thomas Funeral Service in Cabot. Arrangements by Thomas Funeral Service.
