Doris Jean Garrett, age 81 of Cabot, went to be with her heavenly Father June 27, 2011 in South Lyon Michigan. She was born October 12, 1929 in England, Arkansas to the late Guy and Estelle Hudgens and also preceded in death by husband Richard Garrett

She was a member of the Mountain Springs Baptist Church; and WMU, she started the opening of the fellowship hall at the church for families to visit after all funerals at Mt. Springs Cemetery for over 20 years.

Doris is survived by three daughters Debe (Hardy) Kurzer of South Lyon, Michigan, Dottie Garrett of Cabot, Arkansas, Dee Dee (Alfred ) Smith of Vilonia, Arkansas, one son Michael (Raquenta ) Garrett of Lonoke, Arkansas seven grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.

Visitation Friday, July 1st, 2011 from 6-8 P.M.at funeral home. Funeral services will be Saturday, July 2nd, 2011, 9:00 A.M at Mt. Springs Baptist Church, interment Mt. Springs Cemetery.
