Doyle F. Hackler, age 70, of De Valls Bluff, passed away on September 27, 2008. He was born May 7, 1938 in Ward to the late John Arch Hackler & Hester M. Grimes Hackler.

He is preceded in death by his parents John & Hester Hackler; one daughter Brenda Hackler and two brothers Ralph & Robert Hackler.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years Helen Hackler of De Valls Bluff; two sons, Doyle Dean Hackler of Jacksonville and Roger Hackler (Vicki) of Austin; three daughters: Helen Faye Spencer of Jacksonville, Patricia "PJ" Leona Bookout (Wayne) of DeValls Bluff and Teresa Evone Cocker (Herman) of Ulyiss, Texas; one brother Muriel; two sisters, Linda Faye and Carolyn; thirteen grandchildren; one great-grandchild; along with many other family members and friends.

Visitation will be held 6:00 to 8:00 pm with a Memorial Service at 7:00 pm on Monday, September 29, 2008 with Bro. Steve Zumalt officiating at Thomas Funeral Service Chapel. A private family burial will be held later at Hazen Cemetery.
