Edna Evelyn Weston, 78, of Ward, passed away Thursday, November 4, 2021.  She was born July 16, 1943 in Jefferson County, Arkansas to the late Charlie and Mary Ferguson McCorkle.  Edna retired from the Bancroft Corporation as a seamstress.  After Edna's retirement, she enjoyed her time with her grandchildren.  In addition to her parents, Edna was preceded in death by two sisters, Martha Townsend and Charlene Wheat and her brother, Bobby McCorkle.

Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Ottis Pledger of Ward, Louis (Stephanie) Pledger of Cabot and Rhea Pledger of Maumelle; brothers, Charlie McCorkle of Monroe, Louisiana and Michael McCorkle of Fairfax Station, Virginia; grandchildren, Caiden, Brandon, Michael and Ryan Pledger, as well as many extended family members and friends.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, November 10, 2021 at Thomas Funeral Service in Cabot.  Interment will follow at Mount Carmel Cemetery.  Visitation will be 5:00-7:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 9, 2021 at the funeral home.  Arrangements by Thomas Funeral Service, (501) 941-7888.
