E.R. "Buddy" Boyd, Jr., age 61, of Vilonia, died April 6, 2008 in a one vehicle crash. He was born in Cabot on November 15, 1946 to Elmer R. Boyd, Sr. and Ruby Ray Boyd Hill.

Bud was preceded in death by his parents and his step-father Bill T. Hill.

Survivors include his wife of 39 years, Valla Wilson Boyd; son Nathan Heath Boyd; daughter Vanessa Paige Boyd; sister Arlene Boyd and his grand puppies Foxy & Zippy.

Bud graduateed from Cabot High School, served in Vietnam as an E 6 in the Navy Sea Bees, then continued in contruction work for his remaining years.

His wordly body will be cremated. A Memorial and Celebration of his life will be held 2:00 pm on Sunday, April 13, 2008 at Woodrow Church of Christ on Hwy 319 E. in Vilonia. Bud would have requested that memorials be made to Arkansas Children's Hospital or to the Woodrow Church of Christ in Vilonia. Cremation arrangements by Thomas Funeral Service in Cabot (501) 941-7888.
