Elmer Raymond Shaeffer, born May 18, 1925 to the late Edward and Leah Nibb Thompson Shaeffer was called home to Heaven May 19, 2015. He was ninety years and one day old and a great caring and loving man that will be missed by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his son Marcus Steven Shaeffer and fifteen brothers and sisters.

He is survived by his loving wife Paula Shaeffer of Lonoke; daughters Kim (Jim) Adler of Cabot, Tawalla (Jim) Jones of Beebe; three grandchildren Debra Ballard of Lonoke, Bryan Ballard of Beebe, Shae Ballard of San Antonio, Texas; two great-grandchildren Brayden Shine of Cabot and Spenser Ballard of Beebe; sister Mary of Orlando, Florida.

Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday May 22, 2015 at Mt Zion United Methodist Church in Lonoke, Arkansas. Visitation will be Thursday May 21, 2015 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Thomas Funeral Chapel in Cabot, Arkansas.
