Elva I. VanZandt-Ballinger, age 100, of Austin, passed away on Sunday, February 1, 2009. She was born Augusts 19, 1908 in El Paso, Arkansas to the late Andrew Jackson & Addie Lucille Moore-VanZandt.

She is also preceded in death by her her husband Opie Ballinger and twelve brothers & sisters.

She is survived by one daughter Margie M. Davis (Cletus) of Austin; one sister Mildred Dougan of Sedalia, Missouri; two granddaughters, Susan Hedin of N.L.R. and Rashelle Reed of Cabot; four great-grandchildren: Christy Stafford, Mitchell Stafford, Jonathan Bryant & Alec Reed; and two great-great grandchildren, Kylie Stafford and Rozlyn Morrison all of Cabot; along with numerous nieces, nephews and many other family members and friends.

A time of visitation will be held 5:00 to 8:00 pm Wednesday, February 4, 2009. Graveside Services are scheduled for 11:00 am Thursday, February 5, 2009 at Hicks Cemetery in Lonoke.
