Frances LaVonne Duncan Sweeney, age 73 of Jacksonville, passed away Sunday, May 27, 2012. She was born September 4, 1938 in Tulsa Oklahoma to the late Howard & Oleta Beck Duncan Sommars.

She is also preceded in death by her infant son Richard Vincent Papania and husband A.G. Sweeney.

She is survived by five children Rosemarie Papania, Rebecca Polson (Gerald) both of Jacksonville, Kathy Bryant (Ed) of Sherwood, Vikki DeLeon (Mike) of Jacksonville, and Stacy Shilling (David) of North Little Rock; two sisters Kay Harris and Mae Hutson of Belleville, Texas; grandchildren Preston & Ann Polson, Calvin Lee, Chris Davis, Sarah Davis, Matthew Shilling, Justin DeLeon and Blake DeLeon; nieces, nephews, friends and loved ones.

Visitation 6-8 p.m. Thursday, May 31, 2012 at the funeral home. Services will be held 10:00 a.m. Friday, June 1, 2012 at Thomas Funeral Chapel with interment at Arkansas State Veteran's Cemetery.

The family would like to thank Dr. Neal Wyatt and the nurses at AR Hopsice St. Vincent, Little Rock for the loving care they provided for our mother.
