Fred "Bo" Hopkins, 76, of Austin passed from this life on Thursday, March 28, 2019. He was born Saturday, May 2, 1942 in Detroit, Michigan to the late John B. and Tempie M. Barger Hopkins. Mr. Hopkins was a member of Baugh Chapel Baptist Church and the Fraternal Order of Police. He served his country in the Army National Guard and his local community as a Police Officer in Little Rock and Jacksonville He also served on the Harbor Patrol in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Survivors include children, Michael (Jessica) Hopkins of Sheridan, David Hopkins of Mabelvale, and Courtney (Bernie) Strickland of Star City; brother, Argyle Sonny Hopkins of Conway; and four grandchildren. Other survivors include special friends, Bill (Patricia) Crain of Austin and Mickey Paul of Ward; along with a host of extended family and friends.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Monday, April 1, 2019 at Thomas Funeral Service. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at 1:00 p.m.  Arrangements by Thomas Funeral Service, 501-941-7888.
