Gary Allen Horness, age 61 of Gravel Ridge, went to be with his Lord and Savior March 1, 2016. He was born in Little Rock on August 25, 1954 to Carlos and Norma Horness.

He was greeted with a loving embrace from his mother Norma Patton Horness. Gary absolutely loved his mother and spent every Christmas and Thanksgiving making dressing at her house at 4:00 a.m.

Gary leaves behind to carry on his legacy of love, wife JoBeth Horness; father Carlos Horness; sons Greg Horness, Casey Pena and Kyle Pena; daughters Heather Graham and Hillary Sue; grandchildren Garrison Horness, Cameron Horness, Ethan Gordon, Krossen Graham, Hazel Lou Graham and Kooper Dean; sister Carol Horness Bevis(his favorite sister); sister-in-law Tammy Wall; brother-in-law Charlie Shafer; father-in-law and best friend Bill Fields; and his beloved dog Rocky; along with several other family members and dear friends.

Gary was a huge Razorback and Notre Dame fan. He loved sports and played just about any kind of sport. He loved playing football at Cabot High School. If you ever wanted to know anything about football you could call Gary, he was a football trivia expert! He started selling cars at the age of 17 and could sell you anything. He attended UALR in between playing pool with the guys. Gary also enjoyed feeding his deer in his backyard. He loved going to the UCA games with his son Greg and eating together before the games. He also loved to eat out with his family, especially at The Villa and Outback. Gary was the best brother anyone could ever have and his sister and him were very proud of the relationship they shared. Gary always told everyone how much he adored his wife, JoBeth and always said, jokingly "it's all about JoBeth". He loved his family very much and was a member of Mt. Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church.

Visitation 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Friday, March 4, 2016 at Thomas Funeral Service. A life celebration service will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 5, 2016 at Mt. Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church with interment immediately following at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery

The family would like to thank Hospice Homecare, especially his loving nurse Heather Thomason.
