Harry G. "Smitty" Smith, age 76, of Cabot, peacefully entered eternal life on Saturday, July 25, 2009, with his wife at his side. He was born June 6, 1933 in Massillon, Ohio to the late Harry, Sr. & Mildred Smith. He faithfully served his country in the U.S. Air Force and retired as a 20 year veteran.

Survivors include his loving wife of over 34 years, Mildred C. Smith of Cabot; three children, Karen Smith and Mark Smith of California and Tony Cochran of Cabot; three grandchildren: Toby & Michele Cochran, Jody & Kristy Cochran and Tonya Cochran all of Cabot; six great-grandchildren: Dylan, Skylar, Jaelyn, Riley, McKenzie, and Landen Cochran; along with many other family members and dear friends.

With a kind heart for everyone Smitty was a constant source of love and encouragement to all who knew him. Smitty will truly be missed.

A time of visitation is scheduled for 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Monday, July 27, 2009 at Thomas Funeral Service in Cabot. Graveside Services will be held 2:00 pm on Tuesday, July 28, 2009 at Mt. Springs Cemetery in Cabot with Bro. Mack Davis officiating.
