Obituary

Henry Wayne Hawkins, age 71 of Cabot, passed away April 18, 2016. He was born September 1, 1944 in Mark Tree, Arkansas to the late Myles and Helen Hawkins.

His parents Myles Henry and Helen Heflin Hawkins; brother Roy Hawkins; and grandson Todd Ashley Johnson, Jr. welcomed him with open arms.

He leaves behind to carry on his legacy of love, his wife Sandra Lee Diehl Hawkins of the home; sons Charles Hawkins of Monticello, Michael Hawkins of Cabot; daughter Faith Johnson (Todd) of Wichita, Kansas; sisters Kathyrn Rosenthal (Ronald), Brenda Linteman (James) and Linda Haase (Charles) all of Niles, Michigan; 9 grandchildren Robert, Shelby, Allysandra, William and Emily Hawkins, Keith, Scott, Ashley and Laura Johnson; 3 great-grandchildren Hunter, Alexander and Easton Hawkins; along with many other family members and friends.

Henry was a retired USAF Vietnam Veteran, a retired PCSSD Shop Foreman and route supervisor and a retired Volunteer Fire Chief for North Pulaski Volunteer Fire Dept. and retired Captain for Mt. Springs Volunteer Fire Dept. and a certified Emergency Medical Technician and certified Mechanic. He was the Scout Master for Troop 170 LRAFB (Boy Scouts), and loved woodworking and stone cutting Lapidary. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and blackberry picking. Henry was a member of the Cabot V.F.W. His hobbies included coin collecting, baseball and football and was an avid fan of the Chicago Cubs and the Green Bay Packers. Most of all Henry loved spending time with all of his family.

Visitation 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM Thursday, April 21, 2016 at Victory Baptist Church with Funeral Services immediately following at the church. Interment with full Military Honors at Concord Cemetery in Lonoke.
