Inez Verlon Holmes Ray, 93, of Cabot, departed this life May 24, 2017. She was born March 16, 1924 in England, Arkansas to the late James and Lydia Holmes. Inez, or Daisy, as her husband of 50 years, L. H. Ray called her, was known for her ready smile and giving heart. She instilled in her children and grandchildren a strong work ethic, encouraging them to do their best in all things. She is preceded in death by 2 brothers and 4 sisters.

Inez leaves behind 3 children, Martha (Tom) Marshall, Tom (Phyllis) Ray, and Gary (Jerrie) Ray, 10 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.

Graveside service will be Friday, May 26, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Mountain Springs Cemetery, Cabot with interment immediately following.
