Irene F. Turner, age 93, of Ward, went to be with the Lord on Friday, March 13, 2009. She was born September 14, 1915 in Kennett, Missouri to the late Monroe Toler & Bertha Pruitt-Toler.

Mrs. Turner was a former Marysville, California resident for 54 years. She and Mr. Newberry moved from Arkansas in December 1947. She is also preceded in death by two sons; five brothers; four sisters; three husbands Robert Lee Weeks, Elbert Newberry & Alvin Turner.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory, son Jim Weeks (Ellen) of Olivehurst, California; two daughters, Letona Janway (Vernon) of Wheatland, California and Barbara Hart (Tommy) of Ward; two sisters Wanda Jones & Janet Toler; one brother Robert "Dale" Toler; nine grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren along with many other family members and friends.

Sister Turner loved the Lord and she was always ready to tell everyone she met about the goodness of God. She will be greatly missed by her family and her large church family.

A time of visitation is scheduled for 2:00 to 9:00 pm on Tuesday, March 17, 2009 with the family receiving friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. Funeral Service will be 11:00 am on Wednesday, March 18, 2009 at New Life Church in Cabot with Bro. Tim Gaddy and Bro. Lee Dillehay officiating. Internment with immediately follow at Salem Cemetery in Ward.
