James R. Benton, 80, of Lonoke, passed away on Monday, April 24, 2017. He was born April 3, 1937 to the late James and Bea Benton. James enjoyed his work in construction. He loved Westerns and his dogs, especially Taco, and was dedicated to his family. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, J. W. Benton, C. D. Benton and grandson Jessie Burton.
James is survived by his beloved wife, Peggy; daughters, Gloria Brewer (David), Kathy Hood (Kenny); grandchildren, April Burton, Shaw Brewer, Jarrett Brewer and other family and friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 26, 2017 from 10 a.m. – 11 a.m. at Moore's Cabot Funeral Home (501) 843-5816. Funeral Service will be held at Sumner Cemetery at 12 p.m.
