Jo Ann Barkley Autry, 78, of Cabot, passed away on Sunday, March 21, 2010. She was born December 14, 1931 in Dyer, Tennessee to the late Charles Lee Barkley and Alma Florence Nicholson. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Garner S. Autry, Jr., sister, Kate Pounds, and a son, Wendell Autry. She retired from the Cabot Public Schools after working 20 years as a secretary.

She is survived by her children, Barbara Blair (Johnny), of Georgia, Garner Autry, III, of Arizona, Wanda Davis, of Cabot, Rhonda Arrant (Charles) and Leisa Hellard (Don), of Florida, Don Dick (Peggy), of Texas, Russell Autry (Tanya), Tami Smith (Jimmy), and Melinda Bopp (Bob), all of Cabot; two brothers, Williams Barkley, of Tennessee and Harry Lee Barkley, of Alabama; 17 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and a good friend and sister-in-law, Ann Herron, of Jacksonville.

Visitation will be Wednesday, March 24, 2010 from 5-7 p.m. Graveside service will be at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, March 25, 2010 at Heffington Cemetery in Enola with Jennifer Paul officiating. Honorary Pall bearers will be George Davis, Russell D. Autry, Brian Bopp, and Hunter Smith. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to Arkansas Hospice, 3022 S. Second St., Cabot, AR 72023.
