John Walter Daniel, age 73 of Cabot, passed away January 20, 2013 in Little Rock. He was born December 27, 1939 in Memphis, Tennessee to the late Simpson and Mary Alice White Daniel, also preceded in death by one sister, Mary Alice Daniel Dodgen.
Survived by his wife Paula Withers Daniel; three children, Sylvia Jane Daniel Jones of Texas, Johnna Joann Daniel Yates of Cabot, and John Clayton Daniel of Florida; two step-children, Aisha Marie Geater of Cabot and Coby Withers of Jacksonville; one brother Simpson David Daniel; seven grandchildren; Wilbur Yates, Chelsie Davis, Abbie Smith, Bo Smith, Lindsey Smith, Zoe Jones and Landon Geater; seven great-grandchildren and numerous friends.
John attended Chapel Hill School in Tyler, Texas. He also served his country for four years in the U.S. Air Force where he was actively involved with the installation of the Titan Missiles of which he was very proud. John was well known throughout the auto community not only from his years of owning and operating a garage on Highway 161 but for the last 50 years he was known as the man who had all the parts for the old classic cars at his business, Daniel Salvage on Old Highway 67. John also spent time working on heavy equipment with Dunlap Sales and Service. He also enjoyed spending time riding his Harley Davidson.
Visitation will be Wednesday, January, 23, 2013 at Thomas Funeral Chapel from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be Thursday, January, 24, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at Bible Missonary Church at 3001 Old Military Road Jacksonville, Arkansas 72076.
