John Evering Marshall Jr., 84, of Ward, went to his Heavenly Home April 16, 2021. He was born March 15, 1937 to the late Pearl and John Evering Marshall Sr. in Portland, Oregon. In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by one brother and two sisters.

John was well known for being a jokester and a ladies' man. He always had a bright smile from ear to ear whenever you saw him and never met a stranger in his life. John was a man of God and enjoyed bringing couples together in holy matrimony by officiating weddings. He was also a member of the Cornerstone Church and a dedicated customer of the local Waffle House.

Those left to cherish John's memory include his wife, Lois Marshall; six children; ten grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren and one brother.

Graveside services will be 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 21, 2021 at Old Austin Cemetery. Visitation will be 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 20, 2021 at Thomas Funeral Service. Arrangements by Thomas Funeral Service, (501) 941-7888.
