John A. Stevens, Sr., age 87 of Searcy, passed away November 30, 2011in Searcy. He was born April 1, 1924 in Tuckerman, Arkansas to the late Holman & Ellen Stevens.

He is preceded in death by his daughter Doris Sue Stevens and grandson James Riley Roberts.

He is survived by 8 children Barbara Mahoney(Dusty) of Romance, Ruby Danner(Gene) of Cabot, John Stevens, Jr.(Becky) of Beebe, Kathy Wilk of Conway, Brenda Lewis(Don) of McRae, Terry Stevens of Cabot, Theta Chavez(Mariano) of Cabot and Charles Stevens of Arizona; 22 grandchildren; and 34 great-grandchildren; along with many other family members and friends.

Visitation will be held 6:00-8:00pm Friday, December 2, 2011. Funeral Services will be 10:00am Saturday, December 3, 2011 at First Baptist Church of Ward with interment immediately following at Providence Cemetery.
