Joseph Harold Nordrum, age 71, of Cabot, passed away on Monday, March 23, 2009 in Little Rock. Joseph served 20 years in the Navy and had been all over this world. He gave his life to the Lord in 1975. He was a Sunday School superintendent, Royal Rangers commander and had pastored several small churches. He was one of the owners and founders of G & N Hunting Club in Bluff City, Arkansas, fire chief in Bluff City and was a Game and Fish instructor. Daddy did a lot of things in his life including lawn care, waxing planes, taxi driver, horse trainer, construction manager, and security guard. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Lucille Shawgo Nordrum, his first wife, Ilene Nordrum, sister, Pauline Nordrum and grandson, Blaine Nordrum.
Survivors include his wife, Wanda Nordrum, of Cabot; children, Ricky (Dreena) Nordrum and Mike Nordrum, of Wye Mountain, Yvonne (Dennis) Kackley and Lisa (Kevin) Marty, of Cabot; six step-children; brothers, John Nordrum, of Calico Rock, Paul Nordrum, of Mountain View; sisters, Peggy Lester and Joyce Cox of Calico Rock; 27 grandchildren and 41 great-grandchildren.
A time of visitation is scheduled for Wednesday, March 25, from 6-8 p.m. at Thomas Funeral Service in Cabot. Funeral Service will be held Thursday, March 26, 11:00 a.m. at Monnie Springs Assembly of God in Roland.
