J.R. Weatherly, age 79, of Solgohachia, passed away September 18, 2016. He was born January 23, 1937 in Selmer, Tennessee to the late Joe & Mattie (Stracener) Weatherly.  He was preceded in death by his parents; six brothers Willis, Horace, Joe Jr., Russell, Dearl and Carol; sister JoAnn and twin siblings Ray and Fay.

J.R. is survived by his wife Cynthia Ann (Flesher) Weatherly; children Dennis, Carmen, Douglas, Lora and Angela; siblings Trumann, Nola, Ruthie, Sandra and Bernell; and grandchildren Luke, Nicholas, Marlena, Emily and Abigail, along with many other family members and friends.

Visitation 6-8 PM Thursday, September 22, 2016 at the funeral home. Funeral Services 10 AM Friday, September 23rd at 16th Section United Methodist Church in Austin and interment at May Cemetery in Houston, AR.  Arrangements by Thomas Funeral Service, 501-941-7888.
