Lavonna Hornaday Cullins, 81, formerly of Cabot, passed from this life in the early hours of Sunday, May 20, 2018, surrounded by her loving family. She was born June 29, 1936 in Gurdon, Arkansas to the late Robert and Gladys Anderson Hornaday and was the fifth of nine children. Lavonna married Roy Wayne Cullins on February 19, 1955 in Gurdon. She used her gift of nursing to care for, inspire, love, and minister to those around her as a pastor's wife of thirty years. She was an avid writer who crafted many works that reflect her devotion to her Lord and Savior.  Lavonna was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne, on March 4, 2012; siblings, Bobby (Nancy) Hornaday, Millie Hornaday, John Hornaday and Janis (Charles) Wheeler.

Lavonna passes along a legacy of faith to her surviving children, Karen (Bruce) Andrews, Debbie (Jerry) Mann, Brenda (Tom) Lewis, Michael (Nancy) Cullins, and David (Anna) Cullins; grandchildren, Robert (Jennifer) Forrest, Heather (Dane) Moore, John (Rachel) Mann, Daniel (Laura) Andrews, Rachel (Dustin) Speer, Nathan (Andrea) Andrews, T.J. (Rebekah) Lewis, Timothy (Yaffah) Lewis, Josh (Rachael) Lewis, Rebekkah  (Lance) Ferguson, Andrew Thomas Black, Sam (Lindzy) Cullins, Stephen Cullins, Sharyn Mathis, Duke Cullins, Dottie Cullins,  Clyde Cullins and Naomi Cullins; nineteen great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; siblings, Leo (Jeanette) Hornaday, Donna (James) Sneed, Mary (Jack) Byers and Jack (Brenda) Hornaday.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 29, 2018 at First Baptist Church, Cabot with Reverend T.J. Lewis officiating.  Interment will follow at Old Austin Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. prior to the services.  The family requests memorials be made to Lavonna's beloved HomeBound Ministry of First Baptist Church, 204 North Third Street, Cabot, Arkansas, 72023.  Arrangements by Thomas Funeral Service.
