Lesly Mattingly, 84 of Cabot, went to be with his Heavenly Father August 2, 2016. He was born February 21, 1932 in Provo, Arkansas to the late Leslie and Clara Mattingly.  He was also preceded in death by three sisters and a brother.

Lesly leaves behind to forever cherish his memory, his loving and devoted wife of 59 years Frankye Britton Mattingly; 2 daughters Janese (Bob) Allen and Gena Mattingly both of Cabot; brother Burle D. (Ruth) Mattingly of Hot Springs Village; three grandchildren Brandy (Dean) Simpson of Little Rock, Ira (Jessica) Allen of Ward and Torrie (Stephen) Nance of Beebe; and three great-grandchildren Khloe, Levi and Ivy, along with many other family members and friends.

Lesly was a member of Victory Baptist Church and enjoyed wood carving. He attended Law School at the University of Arkansas Fayetteville and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree and a Doctorate of Jurisprudence degree. Lesly was also a member of the Arkansas Bar Association and a Retired Lawyer. He practiced law for 30 years and was a Judge for 19 ½ years.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Cabot Police Department to help establish a K-9 unit, 101 North Second Street Cabot, Arkansas 72023.

Visitation will be Friday, August 5, 2016 from 6:00-8:00 pm at Victory Baptist Church in Cabot. Funeral services will be held 10:00 A.M. Saturday, August 6, 2016 at Victory Baptist Church with interment immediately following at Mt. Carmel Cemetery.  Arrangements by Thomas Funeral Service, 501-941-7888.
