Lloyd Woodrow Barrett, Jr., 79, of Cabot, passed away Friday, November 15, 2024.  He was born September 21, 1945 in Searcy to the late Lloyd Woodrow Barrett, Sr. and Hazel Cook Barrett.  His family moved to Cabot in 1950 and he graduated from Cabot High School in 1963.  In 1965, he married the love of his life, Elizabeth Marshall.  Mr. Barrett worked several jobs, but he began working with his father at his Conoco/Phillips station.  He eventually became the owner of the business.  He was always a hard worker, but when he retired, he took up reading.  Tom Clancey was one of his favorite authors.  Mr. Barrett loved his family, especially his older brother, Bruce, whom he looked up to so much.  He also enjoyed spending time with family and friends, and especially his Grandpa Cook.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Marshall Barrett and his brother, Bruce Barrett.

Survivors include his children, Elizabeth Michele Mackrill (Brett) and Brad Barrett (Robin); four grandchildren, Kolt Mackrill (Amy), Kruise Mackrill (Monica), Kelsey Blackington (Josh) and Justin Barrett (Anne); four great-grandchildren, Layla Mackrill, Eliza Mackrill, Vivian Mackrill and Jaxon Mackrill; sisters, Teresa Sawrie and Tracey Baldwin (John), as well as many extended family and friends.
