Loretta Ann Balding, age 80, of Cabot, passed away Friday, May 16, 2008. She was born June 20, 1927 in Granite City, Illinois to the late Richard Balding & Francis "Bessie" Geyer Balding.

Loretta was a devoted Christian and loved the Lord and served the Lord in many areas during her life. Her life's career was as a Social Worker which she loved. She was proud of her time serving on the Indian Reservation and worked proudly with the Salvation Army. Her love for the Lord and serving the Lord was her life's ultimate career.

She is preceded in death by her parents Richard & Francis Balding; one sister Lorene Balding; and two uncles Hartzell Geyer and Forrest Balding.

Those left behind with fondest memories of her and her devotion to God are one sister Gloria Olmo of Houston, Texas; one niece Lesley Lillibridge of North Vancouver, British Columbia,; two nephews: Scott Lillibridge of Houston, Texas and Richard Lillibridge of Atlanta, Georgia; one aunt, Dorothy Geyer of Mena; one uncle, Walter Geyer of Ft. Worth, Texas; cousins: Janis Geyer Shull of Mena, Chrys Geyer of Colleyille, Texas, Martha Ann Oldham of California, Charles & Rose George of Cabot, George Balding of Ward, Carroll Wayne Balding of Ward, Alice Kirkland of Ward and Gerald Balding of Michigan; along with many other family members and dear friends.
