Madison "Matt" Preston Hammonds, III, age 37, of Cabot, passed away Friday, January 9, 2009 in Clinton. He was born April 22, 1971 in Memphis, Tennessee to Preston Hammonds, Jr. & Sharon Hammonds.

He is preceded in death by one son Jacob Hammonds in May 2008, his grandparents Preston & Martha Hammonds.

Survivors include a daughter Britini Reveley (Richard) of Leslie, Jonathan Hammonds & Zachary Hammonds of Cabot; three grandchildren, Triniti, McKenzi & Ashtin; his parents Preston & Sharon Hammonds; sister April Sullivan (Paul); nieces, Makaylah, Makenzie & Martini; grandmother Alberta Stanford; aunt & uncle Charles & Tammy Wampler all of Memphis, Tennessee; mother of his children Kim Hammonds of Cabot; mother and father-in-law Larry & Sheroll Pharris of Cabot; along with many other family members and dear friends.

A time of visitation is scheduled for 1:00 to 9:00 pm on Sunday, January 11, 2009 with the family receiving friends from 5:00 to 8:00 pm. Funeral Service will be 1:00 pm on Monday, January 12, 2009 at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Cabot with Bro. Robert Osborne officiating.
