Mary Kathryn Whitley, 69, of Ward, passed away Wednesday, December 22, 2021.  She was born January 14, 1952 in Jackson, Mississippi to the late Robert Charles and Nell King Bledsoe.  Mary was a loving, giving, nurturing and supportive lady who doted on her grandchildren.  She was a loving wife to her husband of nearly fifty years, Walter Whitley, Jr.  Mary enjoyed fishing and flea marketing with Walter, and she loved to dance.  She was a strong woman and example to all she knew.  She considered the name Mamaw as her greatest title.  In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Whitley, Jr. and two brothers, Robert Nelson and Charlie Bledsoe.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Sandra Bailey (Chris) of Cabot, Walter Whitley and Sarah Whitley of Ward, Kevin Whitley (Cindy) of Foley, Alabama; five grandchildren, Tyler Whitley, Bobby Bailey, Robert Whitley, David Whitley and Carson Whitley; two great-granddaughters and two great-grandsons, as well as many extended family members and friends.  Mary is already missed by all who knew and loved her.
