Michael Ellis, 33, was born August 24, 1982, and he died January 12, 2016. He was a great father of two beautiful girls, and a great son of Clara & Ray Gallup. He had a lot of life left in him. He served six years in the Army, spending a year in Iraq.
He was a mentor to many people. He took time to help anybody and everybody, even if he didn't know them.
He once saw a homeless veteran in a Walmart parking lot and helped him get something to eat and find a shelter.
Michael is survived by two daughters, Jillian and Trinity Ellis; his parents, Clara and Ray Gallup; three brothers, Joe Gallup and his wife Lisa and Robert and Richard Taylor; a nephew, Jobie Rhine; his ex-wife Heather Ellis, and his mother-in-law and father-in-law Helen and Robert Pagnini.
He was a sweet and charming man who always had a smile on his face even when he had his bad days. He was a fighter and had fought to keep his life.
He would want everyone to keep heads held high because he would want us all to know he will always be by our sides through thick and thin.
Thomas Funeral Home in Cabot, which is handling the funeral arrangements, is accepting donations to help pay for his cremation and viewing, which will be held from 4 until 6 p.m. Thursday, January 21, 2016 at the funeral home.
