Myrtle Virginia Howie/Vickers, age 89, of Cabot, died at home Thursday evening March 11, 2010.
She was born in Fountain Hill, Arkansas April 24, 1920 to the late Ernest & Roselee Chandler

She married the late James Vaughn Howie January 4, 1938. They had two children Ina McCalister & Bill Howie.

She is also preceded in death by two brothers, Curtis & Jessie Chandler.

She was truly loved by family & friends & will be missed by all, as she goes home to rest in peace in the arms of our Lord, Jesus.

Left to cherish her memory are, daughter & son-in-law Ina & Jack McCalister of Cabot; son Bill Howie of Spokane, Washington; three brothers William Chandler of Cabot, Ernest Chandler of Benton & Jerry Chandler of Augusta, Georgia; five grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, & seven great-great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held 2:00-6:00 pm on Sunday, March 14, 2010 with the family receiving friends 2:00-3:00 pm.

The services of remembrance will be held at her Church, Victory Baptist in Cabot at 1:00 pm on Monday, March 15, 2010 with Pastor Ben Leonard officiating. She will be laid to rest next to her husband at Mt. Carmel Cemetery following services with Daniel Wise, Jack McCalister, Edward Wise, Robin Macagni, Jesse Macagni and Brian Hall as pallbearers.
