Nelson Elmer Bowers, 81, of Cabot passed away Friday, October 22, 2021. He was born October 19, 1940 in Dayton, Ohio to the late Theron Jack and Geneva Marie Aldridge Bowers. Mr. Bowers was outgoing and friendly and was very dedicated to his family. In addition to his parents, Mr. Bowers was preceded in death by one sister, Rosemary Staup; one brother, Harry Bowers; his mother- and father-in-law, Roy and Imogene Pike.

Mr. Bowers is survived by his wife, Beverly Covington Bowers; his children, Arlene Wilson (Allen), Mary Thomas (Chuck), Nelson Bowers (Penny) Casey Davis and Joey Davis (Amanda); 12 grandchildren; a host of special step-grandchildren and great grandchildren; his first wife, Gladys Bowers; sisters-in-law, Robbie Veazey (Hansel) and Sheila Harris and brother-in-law, Shelby Covington (Rhonda).

Visitation will be from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Monday, October 25, 2021 and funeral services will begin at 2:00 p.m. at Hickory Plains Missionary Baptist Church with Brother Hansel Veazey officiating. Burial will follow at Hickory Plains Cemetery under the direction of Thomas Funeral Service (501)941-7888.
