Paul Lavern Godfrey, age 70, of Cabot, passed away May 20, 2008. He was born July 10, 1937 in Jasper, Alabama to the late Paul & Idella Godfrey.

He I preceded in death by his parents and one sister.

Survivors include his wife Sybil Godfrey of Cabot; four children: Michelle Godfrey (Colby) of Cabot, Paul Godfrey (Cecile) of Cabot, Jeff Godfrey of Cabot and Kenneth Godfrey (Tammy) of Alabama; mother Esther Nuckols of Cordova, Alabama; one sister Daisy Aldridge of Jasper, Alabama; grandchildren: Gina, Kenny, Tiffany, Charlie & Justin Godfrey, Sean (Godfrey) Winkle, Rina, Jamie & Alley Hobbs; along with many other family members and friends.

Visitation will be held 1:00 to 9:00 pm on Monday, May 26, 2008 with the family receiving friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. Funeral Service scheduled for 1:00 pm Tuesday, May 27, 2008 at Thomas Funeral Service Chapel with Bro. Mike Douglas officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Cabot.
