Rex Burns Blasingame, of Cabot was born on August 27, 1934 and died October 5, 2015 at the age of 81.
Rex served in the US Marine Corp. and was in the Korean War and was a Mason. After military service, he owned and operated a floral business. Later, he was ordained as a Bishop in the Apostolic Catholic Diocese of the Central States and served his congregation in Cabot until his health failed.
Rex was preceded in death by his parents, W. Odis and Iris Blasingame, and his brother, Randy Gray Blasingame. He is survived by his cousins, Jo Ann Gross (Ronald) of Ward, Paulette Howard (Bill) of Jacksonville and Ricki Lockwood (David) of Little Rock.

A special thanks to his good friend, Robert Blackiston, who was a great help to Rex and provided him with many enjoyable time together.
Service by Thomas Funeral Home in Cabot. Mark Thomas was also a special friend who Rex loved and spent many hours visiting and sharing experiences and stories.
Graveside Services will be held 10:00 A.M. Thursday, October 8, 2015 at Old Austin Cemetery.
