Rickey Joseph Harold Nordrum (Little Rick) born August 27, 1979, was called home to be with the Lord on Friday October 21, 2016. He was only 37.

Rickey grew up in Roland and attended Pinnacle Assembly of God Church with his grandparents throughout his childhood. He was an avid member of their boys ministry, Royal Rangers. He loved Jesus and was a believer from a very young age. Growing up he played football, baseball, and loved deer hunting. He would spend many cold mornings in the deer woods in Bluff City with his dad or grandpa trying to get that first deer of the season before his brother or cousins could. He attended Joe T. Robinson schools and Bigelow High School. When he was a young adult, the family moved to Gurdon, Arkansas, for a few years. It was at this time that he became a railcar repair technician and developed his impressive welding skills.
He also fell in love and got married during his time there. They had two children and divorced a few short years later. As an adult, Rickey was a very compassionate and giving man that truly loved his family and friends and wasn't afraid to say or show it. He fought personal battles that most of us cannot and will never comprehend. But it did not change the fact he loved God and God loved him. Now, he is at peace and Jesus gets to love on him in person.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Joe and Ilene Nordrum of Bluff City, his maternal grandmother Barbara Patterson of Chillicothe, Ohio, an aunt Dawn Strausbaugh of Chillicothe, Ohio, and a cousin Blaine Nordrum of Bigelow.

Rickey is survived by his parents Rick and Dreena Nordrum of Little Rock, his children Josie and Jayden Nordrum of Little Rock and their mother Carmen Osborne of Arkadelphia, his sister Stacy Benson and her husband Robby of Bigelow, his brother Anthony Nordrum and his wife Casey of Jonesboro along with many neices, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and a vast amount of friends.

John 3:16 For God so loved the world that He gave his one and only son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life. Proverbs 22:6 Train up a child in the way he should go and even when he is old he will not depart from it.

Psalm 91:14-15 Because he loves me I will rescue him; I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name.He will call on me and I will answer him. I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him.

Visitation will be Tuesday, October 25, at Monnie Springs Assembly of God Church from 11a.m. to 1p.m. Service at 1p.m. only. No graveside service.
