Robert Lawrence "R.L." Barger, age 76, of Vilonia, formerly of Cabot, passed away on Tuesday, March 17, 2009 in Conway. He was born April 7, 1932 in Austin, Arkansas to the late Leslie & Ulah Bankston-Barger.

He is also preceded in death by his sister, Juanita Frazier.

He is survived by a son Keith Barger (Ellen) of Ponder, Texas; two daughters Marla Baker (Steve) & Sherrie Mize of Vilonia; a step-daughter Sherry (Guess) Kwiatkowski of Michigan; twelve grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; along with three special nieces, other family members and dear friends.

A time of visitation is scheduled for 2:00 to 9:00 p.m on Wednesday, March 18, 2009 with the family receiving friends from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 19, 2009 at Baugh Chapel Church in Ward with Harold Cole officiating. Interment will immediately follow at 16th Section Cemetery.
