Ruth Garrison Shaw, age 92, went to be with the Lord on January 25, 2018, in Ozark Health Medical Center, Clinton, AR. She was born on October 10, 1925 in Prue, Osage County, OK, to parents, Elic Washington and Chloe Hester West Garrison. She married Gus Cleveland "Dick" Shaw in 1942.

Ruth is survived by her sons, Dick (Nita) Shaw of Cabot, AR, and Tom (JoBeth) Shaw of Clinton, AR; six grandchildren, Derek (Kate) Shaw of Joshua, TX, Ryan Shaw of Cabot, AR, Blake Shaw of Cabot, AR, KatiBeth (Don) Scott of Petal, MS and Lauren (Jeremy) Phillips of Jacksonville, AR; seven great-grandchildren, Kyran, Coti, Piper, Samuel, Eden, Elijah, and Grace; her sister-in-law, Mary Langston Garrison of Marshall; numerous nieces and nephews; and her beloved pet, Fifi.

Ruth is preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her brothers, Roy Garrison and Eudorus Garrison of Marshall, AR; her sisters, Grace Vanderpool of Marshall, AR, Madge Young of Michigan, and Chloe Williams of Marshall, AR; her grandson, Nathan Luke Shaw of Phoenix City, AL; and her great-grandson, Benjamin David Phillips of Jacksonville, AR.

She worked until she was in her 80's, as a waitress in Marshall. She was recognized by the blonde wigs she wore, the big Tahoe she drove, and her spunkiness. She graduated from Marshall High School.

She loved the Lord and especially loved her sons and often referred to them as her "little boys" and was so proud of their accomplishments. Her family and friends will always remember her as a sweet person and one who could take care of her business.

A funeral service is scheduled at Marshall Assembly of God Church on Monday, January 29, 2018, at 2:00 p.m., with visitation at 1:00 p.m. A reception will follow at the church after interment at East Lawn Cemetery in Marshall, AR. Pastor Phillip C. Clark will officiate.

All are welcome to attend and celebrate Ruth's life.

The family would like to thank the Area Office on Aging, in Marshall for their companionship and friendship; Ozark Regional Medical Center in Clinton for their kindness and compassion; and Hospice Home Care of Conway for the comfort and care they provided.
