Shelly Renee Owens, 50, of Jacksonville, passed away Wednesday, August 23, 2017. She was born December 5, 1966, in Kilgore, Texas to Don and Shirley Fields. Shelly enjoyed arts and crafts, cooking and music. Survivors include her parents; husband, John David Owens; daughter, Jennifer (Yurys) Mateuz; son, John Spencer Owens; brother, Chris (Rhonda) Fields; sister, Mendy (Michael) Grace; grandchildren, Maria and Mason Mateuz; nieces, Maddy Grace and Skylar May; nephews, Zachary and Lance Fields; and other loving family and friends.

Memorial service will be 2:00 p.m. on Monday, August 28, 2017, at Thomas Funeral Service with Pastor Keith Medlock officiating. Visitation will precede the service from 1:00-2:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Cremations arrangements are under the care of Thomas Funeral Service.
