Terry Lee "Uncle Big Big" Simpson, 53, of Austin, passed away Thursday, August 23, 2018 at his home after a courageous battle with colon cancer. Terry was born December 8, 1964 in Orange County, California to the late Garland Eugene, Sr. and Mary Evans Simpson. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, and he was a member of Austin Station Baptist Church. Terry is preceded in death by his brother, Garland Eugene "Bubba" Simpson, Jr.

Terry is survived by his wife of 27 years, Dorothy Simpson; his sister, Anna Simpson of Las Vegas, Nevada and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews he loved very much.

Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m., Friday, August 31, 2018 at Austin Station Baptist Church, 105 N. Second Street, Austin, Arkansas  72007 with Pastor Win Callison officiating. Interment will follow at Hazen Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Sammie Braswell, Jonathan Braswell, Randall Weeks, Robert Eakin, Joey Simpson, Steven Simpson, Greg Simpson and Marty Moran. Honorary pallbearers will be Bruce Brown, Jeff Thrift and men of the church. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m., Thursday, August 30, 2018 at the church.
