Venita Edith Evans Tarkington, 74, of Cabot, departed this world to meet with her Heavenly Father on June 2, 2017. She was born August 18, 1942 in Calexico, California to the late Otis and Consuelo Evans. Venita was a devout Christian and she loved all whom she met. She brightened everyone's life until the day she went home. Venita is preceded in death by her brothers, Herbert and Ernest Evans; daughter, Katherine Harvey, and son-in-law, Ronnie Harvey.

She is survived by her close friend and ex-husband, Virgil Tarkington of Jacksonville; brother, Harold Evans of Moreno Valley, California; aunt, Ofreda Edmonson of Jacksonville; daughters, Louise and Martha Tarkington of Cabot; son, Timothy (Karen) Tarkington of Gravel Ridge, and beloved granddaughter, Victoria (Eric) Pfauser of Cabot.

Memorial service will be Monday, June 12, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Faith Christian Center, 6706 T. P. White Drive, Cabot. Memorial donations may be made to the family.
