Virginia Lee Chapman, age 78, of Cabot, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 9, 2008 to her heavenly home. She was born February 2, 1930 in Rector to the late W.A. Harmon & Fanny Harmon.
Her loving husband Billy Don Chapman of 54 years precedes Virginia in death.
She was a beloved mother to her two children Deborah Goodwin and Don Chapman; grandmother to four granddaughters and great-grandmother to two great-granddaughters. All that knew her affectionately called her Ginny.
Throughout her blessed life she enjoyed countless games of cards and scrabble with her dearest of friends and family. She was an avid gardener, quilter, reader, crossword puzzler and lifelong learner. Her talents will reap her lasting works of beauty. Virginia was a proud member of the Church of Christ. She lived her life by God's word by being the best example of a Christian for all to see. Virginia's battle with Alzheimer was a long and difficult one, consuming her mentally as well as physically with tireless fervor to her very end.
The family would like to thank all who assisted Ginny through the years; heartfelt thank go out to those that lovingly took care of her as she said her last goodbyes. The family would like to request that in lieu of flowers that any monetary donations be made in honor of this wonderful woman to Arkansas Hospice and the Alzheimer Association.
Graveside Services were held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 11, 2008 at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Cabot with Bruce Green officiating.
