William Andrew Johnson, 82, of Lonoke, passed away Sunday, February 23, 2020. He was born December 30, 1937 in Norwalk, Iowa to the late Lawrence and Lorene Johnson. Bill moved from Davenport to Arkansas 36 years ago. He loved hunting and spending time with his friends at deer camp.  There was nothing he could not fix and took great joy in helping others. He also loved a good road trip. Bill and his sister, Ellen, would travel for weeks at a time exploring this country. In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his two brothers, Robert and Don Johnson.

Bill is survived by his wife of 63 years, Joyce Joanne Johnson; his sons, Lawrence  and Ralph Johnson of Lonoke; a sister, Ellen "Sis" James of Lonoke; a brother, George Johnson from Rock Island, IL; granddaughters, Johnnie and Cassandra; one great-granddaughter; one "non-official adopted daughter", Donna, along with many nieces, nephews and very special fur babies, Chi Chi and Spook.  Bill also leaves behind many special friends.

There will be no services at the request of the deceased. There will be a private family gathering in the deer woods at a later date.  The family requests no flowers, just prayers for those left behind.  Arrangements by Thomas Funeral Service, 501-941-7888.
